Billy and Heather - Southern Belize
Our Story
We’re Billy and Heather Campbell, and our journey together began when we met as teenagers. At sixteen, we became friends, and a few years later started dating. In 2012, we were married, excited to build a life together with Christ at the center.
From the very beginning, our relationship with God was a guiding force in our marriage. Yet, one thing became clear early on—we needed to grow. We longed to know God more deeply, but no one had really taught us what it meant to walk with Him day by day.
That all changed about five years into our marriage when God led us to a small church in Fort Worth, Texas. It was there that we were introduced to discipleship. For the first time, we began to truly understand what it meant to grow in Christ and walk with Him intentionally. Discipleship transformed our marriage, deepened our faith, and ignited in us a passion to see others experience that same life-changing growth.
During this time, Heather was working as a teacher and daycare worker, and Billy worked in various mechanical jobs. But as we grew in Christ, we sensed Him calling us into ministry. In 2021, that call led us to become youth pastors at Lakeview Fellowship in Fort Worth. Over four and a half years of serving students, discipleship became our heartbeat. We witnessed God move in powerful ways—not only as the youth group grew in numbers, but as students grew in their faith and walked with Jesus in real, personal ways.
Along the way, God also blessed us with three amazing boys: Billy, Kaiden, and Asher. They are full of joy, adventure, and curiosity, and we are so thankful to raise them in a home centered on Christ and discipleship
Then, God began stirring something new. For six years, we had been connected with a ministry in Southern Belize, led by a faithful missionary preparing to pass the torch. In early 2025, after much prayer and confirmation, we knew God was calling us to continue the work there.
Today, we serve as missionaries in Southern Belize, partnering with Yemeri Grove Christian Church. Our mission is simple yet powerful: to bring discipleship to the forefront of ministry in Belize. We believe discipleship is not just an aspect of the Christian life—it is the way Christians grow, thrive, and transform communities.
As we step into this new chapter, our hearts are filled with gratitude and expectation. God has been faithful every step of the way, and we are trusting Him as we disciple, teach, and serve in the local church and surrounding villages. We are also praying for partners who will come alongside us, so that together we can spread the gospel and watch God radically change lives through discipleship in Belize.
Because discipleship doesn’t just change one person—it changes families, churches, and whole cultures.
